Y-TOC Inc. is presenting a Benefit Rock Concert with two local bands, Access Denied and Poolside Eye Candy! Also there is a huge rummage sale going on at Covenant Hall which everyone is invited to donate to and search through for some "awesome-nessesses" to call their own! It's "Curiositique"! | Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 7 PM | Access Denied was formed in 2008 and is composed of three Norwin graduates who love to rock. They have stayed together in their band even after going to college. They are:
Josh Gongaware - Lead Vocals/Bass Guitar
Forrest Mance - Backup Vocals/Keyboard/Guitar
Ryan Barba - Drums
While Josh, Forrest, and Ryan aren't away at St. Vincent, Duquesne, and Notre Dame, respectively, they're busy getting Access Denied's name out there, playing shows, and working to recording their first, self-titled album.
Poolside Eye Candy is a four piece alt/punk rock band from Harrison City, PA. Members of the band include:
Casey Whittaker - Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals
Logan Dorminey - Lead Guitar
Joel Caporoso - Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals
Eric Simon - Drums
The band formed in 2006. Poolside's first album, "No Diving", was released in November of 2009. The band is currently in the process of recording their next, currently untitled album, hoping for a release in the coming months.
Poolside has played at venues such as the Shadow Lounge, The Rex Theater, 42nd Street, The Keynote Cafe, and many others. | $6.00 at the Door |
Le Villi by Puccini in Concert starring soprano, Ashleigh Weimer, tenor, Seth Gruber, bass, Zachary Luchette with piano accompanist, Kirk Howe and The Youngtimers Theatre Opera Chorus. | Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 7:30 | THE STORY:
Anna and Roberto who live near The Black Forest, during The Middle Ages are with their town folk celebrating their engagement!
Anna’s joy dissipates though as Roberto must leave to travel far away. Anna begs him not to go as she has had a terrible nightmare and fears he will not return. He leaves anyway assuring her that his love will endure anything and all.
Anna’s father, Guglielmo has given them his blessing, but to no avail. Anna dies of a broken heart. Guglielmo, in his anguish, calls upon the The Fairies (Le Villi) for vengeance.
Oh, what will happen?
Enjoy the story. Experience the power of Puccini!
Be cast in Le Villi’s chorus of mountain folk, fairies and unseen spirits. If you read this before the chorus is set and would love to sing with us. Call 724 331-4319.

Humperdinck’s opera, Hänsel and Gretel has captivated the world since its premiere in 1893 and has been translated into 20 languages! The New York Times wrote that it is no more a children’s opera than Alice in Wonderland is a children’s book. They said that although children are enthralled, it is an artwork very much for adults and thus we Youngtimers are hoping that children of all ages will come enjoy a taste of our version of Masterpiece Theatre!
